For each reservation made, these General Terms and Conditions of Sale are deemed to have been read and accepted by all members of the group. All reservations must be notified by e-mail and accepted by the refuge management by return e-mail. These terms and conditions are permanently available on our website.
In the event of any contradiction between the provisions set out in the information e-mail sent to the customer at the time of booking and those set out in these G.S.C., the provisions set out in the e-mail shall prevail (in particular, the deadline for cancelling without charge).

The 0.80€ tourist tax is included in the rates, which are permanently indicated on the refuge’s website (www.refuge-de-la-flegere.com).
Only sleeping is not possible, meals are automatically included in the price of accommodation.
In view of the current economic situation and the soaring prices announced by the government, we reserve the right to increase our prices in proportion to the rise in raw material prices, so as not to jeopardize the company’s financial equilibrium. You will be notified directly by email should this situation arise. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

NO SHOW

The number of people who fail to honor their reservations sadly increases every year. That’s why we ask you to pay 30€/pers/day if you don’t show up on the day of your reservation. You will receive a payment e-mail once your reservation date has passed. It is possible that this may arrive in spam, so please check your inbox regularly. This amount must be paid within a maximum of 2 weeks after the date on which the reservation was not honored.

CANCELLATION

No fee will be charged if you notify us of your cancellation at least 2 weeks before your scheduled arrival date. Depending on the size of the group, this 2-week period may be revised upwards or downwards. The information received by e-mail at the time of booking takes precedence over the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Failure to comply with the above condition will result in the invoicing of €30/person, under the same conditions as under the paragraph “reservations not honored”.
All requests for cancellation must be made by e-mail, followed by a telephone call during the refuge opening period indicated on the website (generally from mid-June to mid-September).

To avoid any inconvenience, please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking.

TENT
You can pitch your tent on the edge of the small artificial lake 200 m below the refuge. Tents must be pitched between 7pm and 9am.  Tenting is free of charge, so there’s no need to reserve a bivouac pitch. Only meals must be reserved in advance.

WEATHER
For your own safety, bivouacs are forbidden in the event of thunderstorms or heavy rainfall forecast by the weather service between the evening and the following morning (you can refer to the following bulletins): MeteoBlue.com or Chamonix.com/meteo or MeteoAlpes.fr).
You probably won’t be able to shelter in the refuge, especially if it’s full that day.So think about a plan B in case of bad weather (e.g. overnight in a refuge, subject to availability, or Camping de la Mer de Glace in the Chamonix valley, a 1h10-minute walk from the refuge or a 10-minute gondola ride + 5-minute walk).

RECHAUDS
It is strictly forbidden to use stoves inside and around the refuge, including the terrace. They may only be used near the lake, at the bivouac site.
For safety reasons, it is forbidden to leave stoves (empty, used or new) in the refuge garbage cans.
These must be taken back to the Chamonix valley where they can be properly recycled.
Campfires are strictly forbidden.

MEALS
Bivouacers wishing to take meals at the refuge must reserve at least 24 hours in advance. Meals available are: dinner, breakfast and picnic. Meal prices are permanently indicated on the refuge website.
Even if you have booked in advance, each group must confirm its meal reservation on the day itself by telephone or by arriving at the refuge before 5pm.
The meal is served at 7pm.
It is not possible to change the content of the meal once it has been confirmed. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies (onions, nuts, mushrooms, mustard, etc.) or dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, pork-free, cheese-free, lactose-free, etc.).
All meal cancellations, even at the last minute, must be notified as soon as possible by e-mail or telephone.
Breakfast and picnics must be booked the day before for the following day, before 8pm.
